Routh Properties and Commercial Retail Group were started in 1993 with the purchase of Courtyard Shopping Center, New Braunfels, TX. The acquisition of retail shopping centers has continued to grow our company to 36 shopping centers, office/warehouse properties, and office buildings throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arizona. All properties are managed and maintained directly by our company to allow for a greater focus on the long-term success and not simply the short-term profit of the shopping center. The partnerships formed many years ago target acquisition, leasing, tenant retention, and maintenance of the properties.
Our company has redeveloped several former grocery stores and WalMart buildings by dividing them into multiple tenant spaces. A rehab of dividing the building typically includes new electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and an updated storefront. This process has helped many small towns turn vacant, rundown buildings into thriving shopping centers creating win-win situations for the town, the merchants, and our company.
